Join Trumpet Fiction and San Fedele Press for “Into the Beyond: An Evening of Science Fiction and Fantasy,” hosted by D Ferrara–the second installment of Trumpet Fiction’s 20th anniversary season. Here are your readers!

KRIS DIKEMAN lives in New York City. Her stories have appeared in Analog, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Strange Horizons, Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet, Daily Science Fiction and the anthologies Mad Hatters and March Hares and The Many Faces of Van Helsing, among other places. Read more of her stories at KrisDikeman.com.

ROY GRAHAM is a writer from New York whose work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Playboy, Motherboard and, once, on the back of several million Chipotle bags. He received his BA from NYU and is currently in the MFA program at Rutgers Camden.

ANDREW PAUL GRELL lives in Manhattan with Melody, his wife, and their Malti-poo puppy, Cyrus King of Persia. At 59, he is an “emerging writer.” He is the author of the recently-released science fiction novel SCAPEGOATS: The Goat Protocols (Golden Fleece Press). His work has appeared in American Writers Review and Surprised by Joy. He also makes occasional appearances in Writers Newsletter and is proud to be an Ugly Writer. By day he uses mathematical models to ferret out fraud, and he gets everywhere by bicycle.

MERCURIO D. RIVERA’s short fiction has been nominated for the World Fantasy Award and has appeared in Analog, Asimov’s, Lightspeed, Interzone, i09, Nature, Black Static, Abyss & Apex,
Space and Time, and elsewhere. His work was included in 2017’s Year’s Best SF 34, edited by Gardner Dozois, in Other Worlds Than These, edited by John Joseph Adams, and Year’s Best SF 17, edited by Hartwell & Cramer. His work has been podcast at Escape Pod, StarshipSofa, and Beam Me Up and translated for publication in China, the Czech Republic, Poland and Spain. Tor.com called his short story collection Across the Event Horizon (NewCon Press), “weird and wonderful,” with “dizzying switchbacks.” Find him online at mercuriorivera.com.

About the Author

Trumpet Fiction is a free, monthly literary reading series in Manhattan that runs from October through June. You can find us on the second Saturday of every month at KGB Bar (85 E 4th Street). The series was founded in 1999 by Jonathan Kravetz, who is also founder and former Editor-in-Chief of Ducts. No RSVPs necessary to attend—the series is free and open to the public.

Twice a year, we feature readers from Ducts magazine, while the remaining readings feature various authors and genres. Stay tuned to the Events page for information on upcoming readings and to see pictures from our past installments.
