I believe the Queen only visited there twice. Once in 1844 and for one afternoon in 1887 when there was some music. If this a true recollection I would be interested to know more. I felt so sad for Roger when I read this story. And sorry for his mother and her kin too. They were truly handicapped in their inability to express affection for a child.
