I'm reminded of something I read once about a houswife who could get no satisfaction from a major company about problems with her iron--yes, this was some time ago. In desperation she put the iron in a paper sack, taped and mailed it with a note that read, "the damn thing won't work." Company was prompt with a refund. Hope to see more of Mr. Carpenter's stories.
