Dear Lauren, This is a story to be read many times to find all its levels. Beautiful and true, you're courageously not afraid to show yourself. Hope you write many more. love Daphne

Dear Lauren, This is a beautiful story, told with words from the heart and soul. Your journey is one that we should all take. We have so much to learn and appreciate from the lore of our original peoples.
As always, your words take the reader "there" and one's emotions are engaged.
Just as Charlie is a gifted story-teller, so too are you.

Ren,
I could hear you tell this story in every line. You are so insightful and such a good story teller. I thought about your connection and compassion for the Native Americans in this story, and it made me think about our journey through the southwest back in the spring of '93. Made me think of Nelson, and how he let us ride his horse through Monument Valley. Your curiosity and insight are such gifts, and thanks for sharing.
Keep sending me your links. I miss being your "editor" and getting to preview all your stuff!! I have a whole file of it still to this day :)
Great story, Gordie.

Oh Lauren,
How beautiful. I know you've been working on this story for a very long time. It is very moving and tells us a few stories. Your journey, some Aboriginal history, and for me it brought back some of those conversations on the tenth floor at Emerson when we ruled the world, in our own minds, at least.

Congratulations.

Love, Linda
